Clauiano
Member of I Borghi più belli d'Italia
First recorded in 1013, when Patriarch Poppo placed it under the cathedral chapter of Aquileia, this hamlet of Trivignano Udinese has kept its medieval street plan. Its houses of stone and river cobbles face the street with wide doorways framed in white stone, with porticoes and inner courtyards behind, a classic Friulian layout that draws photographers and architecture lovers.
