Corciano
Member of I Borghi più belli d'Italia
Almost a perfect circle, still partly ringed by walls, the old centre of Corciano crowns a hill between Perugia and Lake Trasimeno. Its parish church holds Perugino's Assumption of 1513 and a plague banner by Benedetto Bonfigli that pictures the town itself. In December the streets fill with a life-size Nativity, and at the end of June a festival celebrates local bread.
