Piana
Member of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France
Red granite carved by wind and sea into spires, columns and strange figures rises 300 metres above the deep blue water at the Calanques de Piana, a UNESCO site on the Gulf of Porto. The village looks out over this coast, where the D81 squeezes through the rocks. Further along the coast stands Capu Rossu, crowned by the restored Genoese tower of Turghju from 1608.
