Pradelles

Member of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France

Robert Louis Stevenson passed through Pradelles in 1878 on the walk he wrote up in 'Travels with a Donkey in the Cévennes', and the GR 70 trail named after him still crosses the village. The southernmost commune of Haute-Loire, it stands at the tip of the Devès volcanic chain above the Allier valley, with views reaching Mont Lozère to the south.
