Arcaded houses of timber and adobe line Calle Corredera and Calle Ontiveros, a rare survival of traditional Castilian building in the Tierra de Campos. The town is framed by two landmarks: a 15th-century castle on a rise and the collegiate church of San Miguel, whose tower locals call the 'Giralda de Campos'. Outdoor scenes for the 1961 film El Cid were shot here.
