Alberona
Member of I Borghi più belli d'Italia
Known as the village of water for the springs that run through its woods, Alberona stands at 732 metres in the Daunian mountains, looking down over the Tavoliere plain. The Knights Templar and then the Knights of Malta held it for centuries, and their Torre del Priore still rises among lanes of houses built in white stone.
