Cobbled lanes and stone stairways climb a small tuff hill facing Monte Molara to a Norman castle that lost one of its four round towers in the 1456 earthquake and is still lived in. An old drove road for transhumance, the Pescasseroli–Candela tratturo, crosses the countryside, and many families in Dobbs Ferry, New York, and in Bristol trace their roots to this corner of Irpinia.
Highlights

- The Franciscan convent, where wool is still worked in the lower workshops
