Bugnara
Member of I Borghi più belli d'Italia
Stone houses built one against the next climb a triangle of narrow lanes to the Rocca dello Scorpione, the ducal castle of the di Sangro family at the top of Bugnara. The village lies at the foot of Colle Rotondo and Monte Genzana, looking over the whole Peligna valley above the Sagittario river. Hiking trails start from the upper village and lead into the hills.
