Buonvicino
Member of I Borghi più belli d'Italia
Three older hamlets, Salvato, Tripidone and Trigiano, merged at the end of the 13th century to form Buonvicino. The village stands on a hill 400 metres up, not far from the Tyrrhenian Sea, beside the Corvino stream and within the Pollino National Park. A seven-metre bronze statue of San Ciriaco Abate watches over it from the rocky spur of Zaccaniello.
