Corenno Plinio
Member of I Borghi più belli d'Italia
Pliny the Younger, who is said to have owned a villa here, gave this lakeside hamlet the second half of its name in 1864. Corenno sits on a small promontory sloping gently into the eastern waters of Lake Como, with Monte Legnone rising behind. The Andreani family built its 14th-century walled castle, and their stone tombs line the church of San Tommaso di Canterbury.
