Frosolone
Member of I Borghi più belli d'Italia
Scissors and knives have long been made in Frosolone, and by the early 1900s hundreds of small workshops had even formed a cooperative; a museum now tells the story of the craft. The town sits at 894 metres in the Molise Apennines, snowy in winter and breezy in summer. Above it, at Civitelle, stand the polygonal walls of a Samnite hill fort.
Highlights
