Poffabro
Member of I Borghi più belli d'Italia
Stone houses with wooden balconies, outside stairs and arches make up Poffabro, a hamlet at 525 metres in the Val Colvera that the painter Armando Pizzinato called the most inventive spontaneous architecture of the Pre-Alps. Its medieval name, Pratum Fabri, means the smiths' meadow, and at Christmas the whole village fills with nativity scenes.
