Painters set up their easels in Blangy-le-Château every summer for an annual salon, and it is easy to see why. The little Chaussey river runs through a village of half-timbered houses in the Pays d'Auge, close to the border with the Eure. It has long been counted among the prettiest villages of the region and is often photographed.
