Brousse-le-Château
Member of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France
Where the Alrance meets the Tarn in the gorges known as the Raspes, Brousse-le-Château gathers below its fortress. The castle dates back to the 10th century, was restored in the 16th and 19th, and now opens for visits and temporary exhibitions. A Gothic bridge crosses the Alrance, and the church of Saint-Jacques-le-Majeur has a lauze roof and a bell wall.
