Séguret
Member of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France
Wine has a long paper trail here: a charter of 611 for the nunnery of Prébayon mentions vines, the oldest written record of a vineyard in the area. Séguret climbs a hillside at the western tip of the Dentelles de Montmirail, west of Mont Ventoux, beneath the ruins of its feudal castle. Two old gates lead into the village, and vineyards still cover much of the land below.
