Acquasparta
Member of I Borghi più belli d'Italia
The Cesi family made this hill town above the Naia valley their seat, and their 16th-century Palazzo Cesi once hosted Galileo; Federico Cesi, founder of the Accademia dei Lincei, lies in the church of Santa Cecilia. Each June the Festa del Rinascimento revives his court with processions, contests between three contrade and a giant game of the goose in the square.
