Nobody is quite sure why Moresco's 12th-century tower has seven sides, but the 25-metre landmark identifies the village from far along the Aso valley. A modern stair leads to the top, where on clear days the view reaches from Monte Conero to the Gran Sasso. Below it, an oval of narrow lanes opens into a triangular piazza whose portico was once the aisle of a demolished church.
