San Lorenzo in Banale
Member of I Borghi più belli d'Italia
Ciuìga, a pork and turnip sausage smoked over juniper and named after the dialect word for pine cone, is this Trentino village's signature product and a Slow Food presidium. Since 2015 San Lorenzo in Banale has been part of the merged municipality of San Lorenzo Dorsino, and the nearby Val d'Ambiez leads into the Brenta Dolomites.
