Robledillo de Gata
Member of Los Pueblos más Bonitos de España
Adobe walls in ochre and sienna, timber frames and slate give Robledillo de Gata its colour, and its steep streets wind down the hillside so tightly that the eaves of facing houses meet, forming little tunnels. Most houses have a ground-floor cellar for making pitarra wine, and an olive oil museum recalls the old mills. Remoteness in the Sierra de Gata kept it intact.
